Abstract: A method and system for handling a packet data service wherein, proceeding from the handling of a packet data service by a service network node of a packet data network to which communication terminal equipment is connected for the transmission of packet data, it occurs that a data switching function of an interworking of the packet data service with network functions of an intelligent network is interconnected to the service network node, and the setting of at least one threshold for the packet data transmission is undertaken by the service control function for monitoring a packet data stream in the packet data network wherein the service control function communicates this threshold to the service switching function.

Abstract: A packet-oriented communication network is provided having one or more domains which in each case includes at least one network facility, and a mobile radio network which includes at least one home location register and uses a signaling protocol. The network facility of the packet-oriented communication network supports the signaling protocol for interworking with the home location register of the mobile radio network. Using the signaling protocol, an inquiry as to whether the routing of the link is to be performed in the packet-oriented communication network or in the mobile radio network is directed by the network facility from the packet-oriented communication network to the home location register of the mobile radio network.

Abstract: A method and mobile radiotelephone network for handling a packet data service wherein, proceeding from the handling of a packet data service in a mobile radiotelephone network by a service node in conjunction with an access node for the transmission of packet data, an interworking of the packet data service occurs with network functions of an intelligent network whereof a service switching function is interconnected with the service node, and a service control function is connected via an interface to the service node with integrated service switching function. It is only the interworking with integration of the service switching function in the service nodes that the handling of the packet data service via IN functions can be achieved at all, this having the advantage of an identical service handling like all other IN services.
