    Abstract: A guard for an ice skate comprises two telescopically movable parts (1, 2) lockable to each other in different positions to adjust the length of the guard and having a channel (5, 6) in which a skate blade (4) is detachably held by a flexible tongue (12) attached to the front end of the front part (1). The tongue permits insertion and removal of the skate blade in and from the channel of the guard against the action of the spring force of the tongue.
