Abstract: A foot rest of a chair includes a seat connected to a frame of the chair. A foot rest is connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest comprises an inner extendable supporting member to support the rear side of the legs of a user and is pivotably connected to the frame of the chair. The foot rest further comprises an outer supporting member for placing the feet of a user thereon. The supporting members are pivotably linked to each other to permit a stowed position of the supporting members when not being used and an unfolded position when in use, respectively. The two supporting members are pivotably linked to each other by a linking mechanism disposed between the supporting members. The linking mechanism permits the two supporting members to define an angle therebetween from 0.degree. to 180.degree.

Abstract: An adjustable chair in which the mutual angle between seat (1; 1') and backrest (2; 2') may be changed, with a stationary fixture (3; 3') provided at each of the sidepieces of the chair, with seat (1; 1') being mounted to be tiltable about a fixed point (4; 4') on the fixture and with backrest (2; 2') being mounted to be tiltable about a fixed rear point (5; 5') on fixture (3; 3'). Below said rear fixed point a spigot (12; 12') projects laterally from the lower portion of the backrest and is designed to slide in a slide groove (11; 11') which slopes rearwards, downwards in a side piece (25; 25') of seat (1; 1'). At least one mechanism (7, 8; 7', 8') of optionally adjustable length forms the connection between a mounting point (6, 6') of said fixture (3, 3') and a lower point (9, 9') of the backrest for activation of said mechanism to cause movement of the spigot in said slide groove.

Abstract: An arrangement in connection with an adjustable back rest cushion (10,16), where the cushion is connected with a slide means (4,5) which may be moved in a guide (3) forming part of the back rest (1), said guide (3) consisting of a contoured rail spaced from the back rest front, said slide means (4,5) consisting of two members, viz. a slide member (5) which is designed to be movable in a groove in said rail, solely in the longitudinal direction of said rail, and a cushion holder member (4), which at its rear portion is pivotably attached (14) to one end of a front portion of slide member (5), and is lockable by the aid of a snap lock means (15, 15', 15") to the other end of said front portion of slide member (5), the front portion of cushion holder member (4) being provided with means (8) for engagement with cushion rear side (9).

Abstract: A back (1) for a chair, sofa or the like, adapted for providing a means of securing support pillows (3) thereto, is formed with at least one vertical groove (2) which passes completely through the back. The associated support pillow (3) is formed with a protruding knob (4) on one side thereof, said knob (4) being adapted to fit the groove (2) in such manner that the placement of the pillow (3) on the chair back can be adjusted by guiding the knob (4) up and down in the groove (2), while at the same time the knob (4) holds the pillow (3) secured to the back (1).
