    Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods, apparatus, computer program code and means are provided for enrolling payment cardholders in loyalty programs and processing loyalty transactions. Some embodiments include receiving, from a consumer associated with a payment device, loyalty program enrollment information and a payment device identifier, the loyalty program enrollment information including a loyalty program identifier, and providing the loyalty program enrollment information and the payment device identifier to at least one of an issuer of the payment device and an agent of the issuer. The loyalty program identifier is caused to be stored in a memory of said payment device.
