  • Patent number: 4902163
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of securing a first part made of a thermoplastic material to a second part made of an electrically conductive material, a connector mode of an electrically conductive material being placed in the part made of a thermoplastic material and subsequently being welded to the part made of an electrically conductive material. A metal ball is used for the connector, which ball is inserted into an opening in the first part and is brought into contact with the second part, after which the ball is welded to the second part by means of a welding electrode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 8, 1988
Date of Patent: February 20, 1990
    Assignee: U.S. Philips Corporation

  • Patent number: 4623812
Abstract: An electric motor has a rotor body elastically mounted on the shaft, the elastic mounting being relatively rigid in the axial direction. The shaft has an annular projection fitting in a circumferential recess in the bore of the rotor body. An elastic layer having a thickness which is small compared to the height of the annular projection is arranged at least between the circumferential surfaces of the annular projection and recess, and at least one radially extending face of the projection and recess.

  • Patent number: 4560893
Abstract: In an electric motor, for example as used in audio or video apparatus, the rotor comprises a disk-shaped carrier of synthetic resin in which coils are accommodated. In order to stimulate a uniform running of the motor the mass of the rotor is increased by manufacturing the carrier from a synthetic resin filled with a filler having a high specific mass.

  • Patent number: 4490637
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical machine comprising a rotor provided with coils, which rotor comprises a commutator having a commutator disk whose surface is provided with segments, an end of each being connected to a corresponding plurality of said segments. The commutator comprises an assembly of connecting elements which are insulated from one another, the assembly being arranged adjacent the commutator disk in the axial direction and the number of elements corresponding to the number of coils. The coil ends are connected to the connecting elements and each connecting element is provided with lugs for the electrical connection of the connecting element to a plurality of segments, which lugs bridge the axial distance from the connecting element to the segments.
