Abstract: The present invention provides a device and method for singulating from a holder with liquid and/or individualizing of products, such as fruits, wherein the device comprises: a discharge conveyor extending above the liquid level in the holder for discharging the products in rows; and a feed conveyor of V-shaped cross-section, the discharge end of which connects onto a front end of the discharge conveyor and which extends at an inclination from this front end to below the liquid level in the liquid holder.

Abstract: A device for transporting fragile articles, for example fruit and the like, along a longitudinal path of travel is disclosed. The device includes a spaced and parallel series of rotatable rollers extending along the path of travel for carrying the articles thereon, the rollers forming a series of intermediate article receiving spaces therebetween. A drive assembly is provided for rotating the rollers in the direction of the path of travel, and a carrier assembly is positioned with respect to and spaced from the rollers. A carrier assembly includes a spaced series of carrier members constructed and arranged to engage a peripheral surface portion of the rollers, the carrier assembly being constructed and arranged to move the carrier members in the direction of the path of travel as they engage the peripheral surface portions of the rollers for urging the articles along the path of travel.

Abstract: Apparatus for transporting and/or classifying objects such as fruits, comprising: a supply conveyor (11) for supplying the objects at a relatively small pitch; a discharge conveyor (13) for discharging the objects at a relatively large pitch, for instance for classification purposes; and a transferring device (12) for transferring the objects from the first conveyor (11) to the second conveyor (13), wherein the speed of forward movement of the transferring device is adapted to the speed of the discharge conveyor and wherein the transferring device comprises gripper members (17) arranged in pairs for gripping the objects.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for emptying a container filled with products such as agricultural or horticultural products by immersing the container in a basin filled with liquid, causing the products to flow out of the container and lifting the emptied container out of the basin, wherein the container is tilted in the basin and lifted out of the basin in a curved path. In this manner products which do not float, or hardly so, can be offloaded quickly and efficiently without danger of damage. The invention also relates to an apparatus for performing this method. Such an apparatus is provided according to the invention with a basin filled with liquid and means for immersing the filled container in the basin and lifting the container therefrom after offloading of the products, which immersing and lifting means are adapted to perform a combined tilting and translation movement along a curved path during offloading of the products.
