  • Patent number: 9231297
Abstract: There is disclosed a broadband HF antenna, which is fully integrated on a naval ship. This antenna enables to transmit and/or receive radio-frequency waves from a naval ship. The antenna comprises a radiating element and an exciting element. The exciting element excites the radiating element when fed with current. The radiating element is a structural element of the ship itself.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 23, 2010
Date of Patent: January 5, 2016
    Assignee: THALES NEDERLAND B.V.
Inventors: Maarten Clement, Jan Martinus Schouten
  • Patent number: 8351850
Abstract: An apparatus for emitting and receiving radio-frequency signals includes a circuit to cancel interference. The apparatus transmits and receives signals using an antenna, and isolates the transmission and receiving circuitry. The circuit taps a first part of a signal to be transmitted, and controls the amplitude and phase of this signal. The circuit then introduces the first part of the signal into the receiver after the first part of the signal has been amplified and phase-shifted, so as to cancel in the receiver interference due to portions of the signal that have undesirably entered the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20110143691
Abstract: An apparatus for emitting and receiving radio-frequency signals, the apparatus including a circuit to cancel interferences. It includes means for transmitting at least one signal by virtue of an antenna, means for receiving signals by the same antenna and means for isolating the means for transmitting from the means for receiving. The apparatus also includes: means for tapping a first part of the signal to be transmitted; means for controlling the amplitude and the phase of the first part of the signal; means for introducing the first part of the signal in the means for receiving after said first part of the signal has been amplified and phase-shifted, such as to cancel in the means for receiving interferences due to portions of the signal that unwantedly have entered the means for receiving.
