  • Publication number: 20190374391
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for making an absorbent structure for an absorbent article, comprising a supporting sheet and thereon an absorbent layer, the absorbent layer comprising an absorbent material. According to the present invention a first moving endless surface is provided which has one or more substantially longitudinally extending first mating strips, and at least one further auxiliary moving endless surface is provided which acts against the first mating strips. Pressure is applied between the first moving endless surface and the auxiliary moving endless surface to the first and second supporting sheets at least within a part of the area of the channels, so as to adhere together the first and second supporting sheets.

  • Patent number: 10220998
Abstract: A flexible reclosable package contains disposable and compressed consumer products. The package has a hexahedral shape with a top panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, a back panel, a left side panel and a right side panel. A hooded portion defines the top panel, a portion of the front panel, a portion of the first right side panel portion and a portion of the first left side panel portion. A pleated portion is provided adjacent to the hooded portion and extends from a first side panel seam to a second side panel seam. A first line of weakness, which is not visible from the exterior of the package when the package closed, is provided in the pleated portion. The flexible reclosable package can be converted from a closed configuration to an open configuration upon opening the package along the line of weakness.
