  • Publication number: 20220332600
Abstract: There is described a particulate carbon adsorbent comprising 60 to 90% by wt carbon, wherein the particulate carbon adsorbent is a fibrous pyrolysis product of an organic fraction of waste screenings, and wherein the fibrous pyrolysis product predominantly comprises fibres having a diameter in the range about 10-40 ?m and a length in the range about 50-500 ?m. A method of manufacture is also described. The particulate carbon adsorbent is useful in of odour prevention in wastewater treatment and other wastewater processes.

  • Patent number: 8945892
Abstract: A method for the continuous liquefying of organic solids in a fermenter, wherein an outwardly directed flow of solids is produced in a dammed-up liquid, the solids are added in the lower region of the fermenter and the solid fermentation residues are essentially collected and removed below the level of the dammed-up liquid.

  • Patent number: 8637300
Abstract: A method for treating an organic and/or inorganic substrate utilizing a granular material made of a solid foam as support for an active component, for example a biocatalyst such as a microorganism or an enzyme. The solid foam has a continuous phase in which magnetizable particles are embedded, such that the support with the biologically active component immobilized thereon can be separated from a mixture with a magnetic separation device.
