  • Patent number: 10245593
Abstract: An air filter arrangement is provided for filtration of particles in an airflow having an airflow direction. The air filter arrangement includes an electrostatically charged filter, a first ionization device, and a second ionization device. The first ionization device is arranged upstream of the electrostatically charged filter and the second ionization device is arranged downstream of the electrostatically charged filter. An air filtering apparatus is also described.

Abstract: An air filter arrangement is provided for filtration of particles in an airflow having an airflow direction. The air filter arrangement includes an electrostatically charged filter, a first ionisation device, and a second ionisation device. The first ionisation device is arranged upstream of the electrostatically charged filter and the second ionisation device is arranged downstream of the electrostatically charged filter. An air filtering apparatus is also described.

  • Patent number: 4162773
Abstract: The belt or webbing is wound on a spool, which is rotatably mounted between the spaced legs or sides of a generally U-shaped casing, and which has a ratchet wheel secured to one end thereof. A pawl is pivotally mounted in supporting slots in one or more of the casing sides for pivotal movement into and out of a belt-locking position in which one edge of the pawl engages a tooth of the ratchet wheel to prevent further rotation of the spool in a belt unwinding direction. A leafspring, which is secured at one end to the pawl, passes over the head of a pendulum member which is suspended from the pawl, and has a free end confronting and normally spaced from the wheel teeth. When sudden changes in vehicle speed cause the pendulum to swing, its head moves the leafspring to engage the wheel teeth, which, when the belt is unwound, swing the leafspring in a direction which causes the supporting pawl to be pivoted to its belt-locking position.

  • Patent number: 4101094
Abstract: A variety of belt locking mechanisms are disclosed, each utilizing a first mechanism responsive to sudden tensioning in the belt to lock it against further withdrawal, and a second involving a pendulum mechanism responsive to sudden changes in vehicle speed to lock the belt. Each belt tensioning device includes a reciprocable pin or shaft reponsive to increased belt tension to shift in a direction in which it causes a locking lever to engage lockingly with the teeth on a cogwheel which rotates with the spindle on which the belt is wound. The locking lever may be held against the resistance of a spring in its released position by a pendulum-type mechanism which moves in response to sudden changes in vehicle speed to release and allow the latch to pivot to its locking position.

  • Patent number: 4044969
Abstract: A locking mechanism for vehicle safety belts of the type in which a strap of the belt is automatically retracted into a housing and coiled up on a reel when the belt is not in use, to lock the reel either at rapid extraction of the strap of the belt or at an alteration in the travelling speed or direction of the vehicle. The locking mechanism comprises at lease two latching means which are attached to the reel and arranged to rotate with it and which are mounted so that they can be displaced from a retracted position, in which they do not hinder the rotation of the reel, to an extended position, in which they are in engagement with a stop for locking the reel. The latching means are arranged to be moved out by rapid rotation of the reel due to rapid extraction of the strap of the belt or by an actuating means which is rotatably mounted on the reel and arranged to engage with the latching means.

  • Patent number: 4030682
Abstract: A locking mechanism for vehicle safety belts of the type in which a strap of the belt is automatically retracted into a housing and coiled up on a reel when the belt is not in use, to lock the reel at rapid extraction of the strap of the belt. The locking mechanism comprises a supporting means which is non-rotatably attached to the reel for rotation with it and which carries at least two latching means pivotably mounted on two pivot pins positioned symmetrically in relation to the reel and parallel with it. At rapid rotation of the reel, the latching means are turned by the centrifugal force about their respective pivot pins from a free position to a latching position with the forward portion in engagement with a stop means. The latching means are arranged to engage with each other in such a way that an angular turn of one latching means causes a corresponding equal large angular turn of the other latching means, so that the latching means are simultaneously turned out-wards into the latching position.
