  • Patent number: 5646202
Abstract: A molding composition comprising(A) from 20 to 80% by weight of at least one polyarylene sulfide,(B) from 1 to 60% by weight of at least one mineral filler,(C) from 1 to 65% by weight of at least one surface-modified mineral filler and(D) from 0.01 to 0.4% by weight of at least one saturated, long-chain carboxylic ester, can be injection-molded or extruded to give moldings which have high surface quality and isotropic property behavior. Metallization of the moldings proves to be durable, which makes them suitable for use in lamps, in particular reflectors and electronic functional parts.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 21, 1996
Date of Patent: July 8, 1997
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Andreas Schleicher, Jan-Peter Piesold, Klaus Kohlhepp
  • Patent number: 5306437
Abstract: Copolymers prepared by free radical polymerization of a C.sub.12 --C.sub.60 -.alpha.-olefin with a carboxylic acid of the formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sup.1 --COOH, a carboxylic acid ester of the formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sup.1 --COOR.sup.2 and, if appropriate, a styrene compound prove to be highly active lubricants and release agents in polymers, in particular in polyvinyl chloride, which scarcely influence the transparency of the polymers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 18, 1993
Date of Patent: April 26, 1994
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Franz-Leo Heinrichs, Gerd Hohner, Anton Lukasch, Jan-Peter Piesold
  • Patent number: 5164436
Abstract: Waxy esters of aromatic alcohols with long-chain carboxylic acids give lubricants and release agents for highly transparent thermoplastics which reduce the transparency of these plastics to a far lesser degree than the previously customary montan wax esters of aliphatic alcohols.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 15, 1991
Date of Patent: November 17, 1992
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Karl Maier, Gerd Hohner, Jan-Peter Piesold
  • Patent number: 4829116
Abstract: A polyolefin molding composition, in particular based on LLDPE, containing a fluorine-containing polymer together with a wax, has a broad processing range in which no surface defects occur. The throughput on extrusion is greatly increased.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 10, 1988
Date of Patent: May 9, 1989
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
