  • Patent number: 10837952
Abstract: A bearing lubrication system includes a lubricant distributor configured to perform a lubrication operation by moving lubricant toward an interior of a housing of a bearing, at least one sensor configured to measure at least one condition of the bearing and to produce a signal indicative of the at least one measured condition and a controller configured to produce a transient detection signal, a signal indicative of a second derivative of the measurement signal, for example, and to determine whether an absolute value of the transient detection signal exceeds a threshold value during a given time period after the lubrication operation and to output a failure signal indicative of a lubrication failure in response to a determination that the absolute value of the transient detection signal does not exceed the threshold value during the given time period. Also a method of operating a bearing lubrication system.

  • Patent number: 9835201
Abstract: A bearing assembly comprises a rolling element bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring and a set of rolling elements arranged in a bearing cavity between the inner and outer rings. A first grease is provided in the bearing cavity, which has a first thermal bleed rate at a specific reference temperature. The bearing assembly further comprises a grease cartridge, arranged at an axial side of the bearing cavity, whereby the cartridge has axially extending passageways that open into the bearing cavity, and whereby at least some of the passageways are filled with a second grease. The second grease has a second thermal bleed rate at the specific reference temperature which is lower than that of the first grease.

  • Patent number: 7983988
Abstract: The invention relates to a system (1), a method, and a standard framework (11) for usage-dependent licensing. When use is made of additional functionality, further instances, or specific adapters (131 . . . n), the system (1) will detect whether such use has been authorized by means of a license. If authorization has not yet taken place, a time-limited license will be generated automatically and the manufacturer (21) of the standard framework (11) or, as the case may be, a user (22p) who has implemented additional functionality on the basis of the framework will be informed and can generate a license key. The system (1) will disable the functionality after a specific period of time if a license fee is not paid by a user (22p, 22s).

  • Patent number: 7376655
Abstract: Relevant data is extracted from engineering or system documents. The data is represented by a given hierarchical system structure in a predetermined system characteristic structure. The hierarchical system structure is loaded onto an MES-component to enable it to become operational. References to the original engineering or system documents are loaded onto the MES-components to enable navigation of the documents inside the MES-component.

  • Publication number: 20040177055
Abstract: According to the invention, relevant data (RD1, RD2) is extracted from engineering or system documents (AD1, AD2). Said data is represented by means of a given hierarchical system structure (HAS) in a predetermined system characteristic structure (AKZ). Said hierarchical system structure is loaded onto the MES-component (K) to enable it to become operational. References to the original engineering or system documents (AD1, AD2) are loaded onto the MES-components (K) to enable navigation in said documents inside the MES-component.
