  • Patent number: 7336883
Abstract: The device includes an indexing adapter, two port monitors, a light source, and two fiber optic connectors. The indexing adapter has only three fiber optic connector receptacles. Two of the three fiber optic connector receptacles are situated adjacent to the third fiber optic connector receptacle. The third or center fiber optic connector receptacle separates the other two fiber optic connector receptacles from being positioned adjacent to one another. The center fiber optic connector receptacle is optically associated with the light source. Each of the other two fiber optic connector receptacles is respectively associated with one of the two port monitors. Each of the two fiber optic connectors includes only one optical fiber. The two fiber optic connectors are mechanically associated with one another.

  • Publication number: 20070066859
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for producing linear alkyl benzene and linear paraffins, the process including the steps of obtaining a hydrocarbon condensate containing olefins, paraffins and oxygenates from a low temperature Fischer-Tropsch reaction; a) fractionating a desired carbon number distribution from the hydrocarbon condensate to form a fractionated hydrocarbon condensate stream; b) extracting oxygenates from the fractionated hydrocarbon condensate stream from step a) to form a stream containing olefins and paraffins; c) alkylating the stream containing olefins and paraffins from step b) with benzene in the presence of a suitable alkylation catalyst; and d) recovering linear alkyl benzene and linear paraffin.

  • Publication number: 20070013487
Abstract: The device includes an authorized interrogator, a body, and a transponder attached to the body. The authorized interrogator includes a computer, an input device, an antenna, and a transceiver electrically connected to the antenna so as to form a reader/writer. The input device is used for inputting an authorization level of a user into the authorized interrogator by the user, and the input device is in communication with the computer. The authorized interrogator has preset levels of security corresponding to predefined categories of information. The user's authorization level corresponds to one level of security so that the user can gain access to the corresponding predefined category of information. In a first mode of operation, the transponder accepts information from the authorized interrogator. In a second mode of operation, the transponder delivers information to the authorized interrogator.
