Abstract: A self-reinforcing clip for securing a panel to a hole. The self-reinforcing clip comprises a first support member and a second support member each disposed in spaced relationship with one another and defining a gap therebetween. Each of the support members have a body portion and a flange portion. At least one tooth extends outwardly from at least one of the body portions for engaging an inner wall of the hole. At least one of the support members defines a contact surface. Further, at least one cross-over member is coupled to at least one of the support members and extends across the gap past the body portion of the other support member in alignment with the contact surface for engaging the contact surface for inhibiting movement of the support members toward one another when upward forces attempt to pull the clip from the hole.
