Abstract: The inflatable assist chair comprises a chair and a compressor. The chair may be inflated and deflated using the compressor to more air into and out of the chair. The deflated chair may be placed next to a supine person and the supine person may be moved onto the deflated chair. The compressor may then be activated to inflate the chair, lifting the supine person off the ground and eventually into a seated position. Once the occupant of the chair has been moved to a wheelchair or o a standing position, the direction of airflow through the compress may be reversed an the compressor may be used to deflate the chair. In some embodiments, support ridges on the side of the chair may prevent the supine person form rolling off of the chair as it inflates.
