  • Publication number: 20250162601
Abstract: In some aspects, a device associated with a vehicle may obtain data relating to driver interaction with the vehicle. The device may estimate one or more driver interaction parameters based on the data relating to the driver interaction with the vehicle. The device may update one or more tuning parameters associated with an automated driving or driver assistance feature based on the one or more driver interaction parameters, resulting in one or more updated tuning parameters. The device may cause the automated driving or driver assistance feature to be applied at the vehicle in accordance with the one or more updated tuning parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240400089
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for operating a driver-in-the-loop (DIL) component of a vehicle. In an aspect, the DIL component receives a first input signal generated based on a first interaction of a driver with a component of the vehicle operating in an autonomous driving mode, applies an attack-sustain-release (ASR) envelope to an amplitude of the first input signal to generate a first output signal representing at least a ramp-in of driver control over the component from no driver control to full driver control, and wherein the ramp-in of the driver control is limited by application of the ASR envelope to the amplitude of the first input signal, and transmits the first output signal to a controller module for the component of the vehicle to enable the controller module to reduce control over the component of the vehicle based on the ramp-in of the driver control represented by the first output signal.

  • Publication number: 20240017220
Abstract: A dosing system includes a dispensing apparatus that receives first and second fluids from respective input sources. The first fluid is modified by an electrolytic cell assembly to produce an output fluid, and the second fluid flows through the electrolytic cell assembly or bypasses the electrolytic cell assembly. The dispensing apparatus includes a cartridge system supporting chemical cartridges having a concentrated solution and a mechanism to dispense the solution. At least two chemical cartridges with different concentrated solutions, and each chemical cartridge selectively fluidly communicates with the output fluid and the second fluid. The dispensing apparatus also includes an interface and a controller programmed to perform instructions including receiving a request from the interface, mixing the concentrated solutions and the first or second fluid input sources, and dispensing a product defining a dilution including the first and second fluid input sources and the chemical solutions.

  • Publication number: 20230391352
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for controlling one or more operations of a vehicle. For example, according to some aspects, a process or method may include determining a manual interaction with the vehicle and determining, during the manual interaction with the vehicle, an error between a setpoint value of a parameter and a current value of the parameter. The process or method can include determining, based on the determined error, whether to accumulate values associated with the error for controlling at least one function of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11794805
Abstract: Methods for ensuring road tracking up to a predefined lateral acceleration limit in a vehicle having an autonomous steering function arranged to selectively apply a steering wheel overlay torque to a normal steering assistance torque in an electrical power assisted steering system of the vehicle are provided. Such methods include acquiring the predetermined lateral acceleration limit; acquiring a signal representing a current lateral acceleration of the vehicle; comparing the predetermined lateral acceleration limit with the acquired current lateral acceleration signal to obtain a controller error; setting a torque limit for the steering wheel overlay torque; and subjecting the controller error to a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, which is arranged to provide the torque limit for the steering wheel overlay torque after setting the torque limit to the initial value.
