Abstract: A hair-cutting apparatus (1) is provided having a toothed cutting device (5) comprising a stationary first toothed cutter (6) with a first cutter-tooth row (7) and a second toothed cutter (9) with a second cutter-tooth row (10), which second toothed cutter is drivable so as to reciprocate about a pivotal axis (8), the first cutter-tooth row (7) of the first toothed cutter (6) extends linearly in a first row direction (23) and the second cutter-tooth row (10) of the second toothed cutter (9) comprises two row segments (24, 25) which in a central position of the second toothed cutter (9), starting from a center point (26), diverge with respect to the linear direction of the first cutter-tooth row (7).

Abstract: A hair-cutting apparatus (1) is provided with a first cutter (10;6) and second cutter (12; 43) and in which are resiliently urged in a pressing direction (15), with a drive member (19) for driving the second cutter (12), and with a hinge device (20) between the drive member (19) and the second cutter (12; 43), the hinge device (20) comprises two limbs (21, 22) which are oppositely inclined relative to the pressing direction (15) and which are each connected to the drive member (19) and the second cutter (12) by a hinge (23, 24, 25, 26), the two connecting lines (27, 28) through the two hinges (23, 25 and 24, 26, respectively) of each of the limbs (21, 22) intersecting one another substantially in the area of the point of application (29) of the resultants of the frictional forces between the two cutters (10, 12).

Abstract: A device for positioning an original in sheet form on an exposure table comprising a ruler and a means for moving the ruler between a position in which an edge of the ruler extends upwardly from the exposure table for positioning and retaining a sheet original arriving along the exposure table and a position in which the original is released so that it may be displaced in the direction of and past the ruler. The exposure table has a recessed part such that when the ruler occupies the retaining position the part of the ruler bearing the retaining edge rests partly in the recessed part such that it lies against the upright wall of the recessed part and partly projects above the surface of the exposure table.
