  • Patent number: 5613955
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for the administration of a fluid. The arrangement consists of a tube, preferably made of plastic, one end of which is executed with a cutting or tissue-displacing tip. The other end of the tube has a connection (1b) for an injection syringe or the like. Arranged in the tube is a rigid, elongated body so executed as to facilitate insertion of the tube into human tissue. The tube is sufficiently soft for it to be of essentially the same consistency as the surrounding tissue, in particular the subcutaneous tissue and musculator. It is also sealed at its tip and executed with a number of openings distributed over an area between the tip and the connection. The external surface of the tube is covered with a coating of titanium of sufficient thinness for the tube to retain its soft characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4957485
Abstract: An arrangement for the instillation of fluids in a urethra comprising a tube of rigidity and diameter to be capable of being introduced into the urethra. The invention is characterized in that the length of the tube is a fraction of the length of the urethra, or approximately one decimeter. Along most of its length the tube is executed with an inflatable sac with elastic walls. This exhibits straight cylindrical form in its uninflated state, and in its inflated state has a slim, conical form, the base of which is situated at the end of the tube, and the tip of which is attached to a flange near the other end of the tube. Near the flange the sac has a connection via which the sac can be inflated with and emptied of air. The arrangement also comprises a device adapted to suit the opening of the urethra, made of an elastic material, and anchored to the flange. The device is executed with a connection leading to a vacuum source.

  • Patent number: 4798595
Abstract: The present invention relates to an injection arrangement. This is characterized in that it comprises an injection needle (1) and a base plate (8). The needle (1) is curved so that at least one part of it exhibits a circular arc with a certain radius of curvature. The needle (1) is executed at one end with a solid, cutting point (2). The needle (1) has a central duct (3) which is closed in the area ahead of the tip (2) of the needle, and along the area in the form of a circular arc it has a number of openings (6) communicating with the duct (3). The base plate (8) has two curved ducts (11,12) passing through the plate (8) at an angle to one another and with the same radius of curvature as the needle (1). The base plate (8) also supports a cradle (13), to which the needle (1) is attached, which cradle is able to move in the base plate in such a way that the needle (1) is able to move in a normal plane to the plane of the base plate (8) in a reciprocating fashion about the center of the radius of curvature.
