    Abstract: A system for determining a deficiency in an infusion rate for a user has a processor, a display, a memory and, optionally, one or more of a pump and an analyte monitor. The processor receives measured glucose values that each have a timestamp indicating the time/date of measurement. The processor determines whether the glucose values include n pairs of glucose values g01 to n and g1to n, where each pair of glucose values fulfils a predefined set of criteria obtained from the memory. Pairing values are determined based on the glucose values g0x and g1x. The pairing values are compared to threshold values obtained from the memory. Exceeding or falling below the threshold values indicates a deficiency of the basal insulin rate of the patient.

    Abstract: A method for determining relative risk for lack of glycemic control for at least two patients. First and second sets of glucose readings are provided and assigned to first and second patients, respectively. The first and second sets of glucose readings are collected by conducting first and second different frequencies of measurements, respectively. Evaluation parameters and evaluation values are determined. First and second risk scores are determined and assigned to the first and second patients, respectively. A relative risk for lack of glycemic control is determined by comparing a first total risk score and a second total risk score. The relative risk indicates that the risk for lack of glycemic control is higher for one of the two patients.

    Abstract: The disclosure concerns an insulin delivery arrangement including a hand-operable insulin delivery device which includes an adjusting unit for presetting of an insulin dose and an applicator unit that can be triggered to deliver the preset insulin dose to a user. In order to ease burden of insulin dosing, a dose converter is adapted to receive an actual setting for the insulin dose as an input and to provide as an output a carbohydrate value equivalent to an amount of meal carbohydrates which can be compensated by the respective insulin dose. A display is used for displaying the carbohydrate value in parallel to the insulin dose.

    Abstract: A method of determining a probability that a patient's blood glucose value is in an adverse range at a prediction time. Spot monitoring blood glucose measurement data is provided and includes blood glucose measurement values and associated measurement times. The values include first and second sets assigned to first and second adverse ranges, respectively. A kernel density estimation and Bayes' rule are used to determine the probability of the blood glucose value of the patient being in the first and second adverse blood glucose ranges at the prediction time. In the kernel density estimation, a first kernel bandwidth is applied for all or some of the first blood glucose measurement values and a second kernel bandwidth different from the first kernel bandwidth is applied for all or some the second blood glucose measurement values. Output data is provided indicative of the prediction time and the probability at the prediction time.
