  • Publication number: 20180315087
Abstract: In an approach to determining a boundary-specific offer, one or more computer processors determine a user of a mobile device is within a pre-defined physical boundary. The one or more computer processors determine a first notification of an offer corresponding to the pre-defined physical boundary. The one or more computer processors send the first notification of the offer to the mobile device. The one or more computer processors determine whether the user of the mobile device moved outside of the pre-defined physical boundary. In response to determining the user of the mobile device moved outside of the pre-defined physical boundary, the one or more computer processors invalidate the offer.

  • Publication number: 20180300860
Abstract: Aspects saves modifications made to a depiction of a person within a photographic image uploaded to a networked service. In response to determining a presence of another depiction of the identified person in a different photographic image uploaded to the networked service, the modification saved to the profile data is automatically applied to another depiction of the identified person within the different photographic image to an initial publication of the uploaded, different photographic image on the networked service.

  • Publication number: 20180301153
Abstract: Aspects define a capture signal as audio inputs by a user of word content. An input of the capture signal word content is recognized in response to an audio input of the user reciting the capture signal word content into a microphone in communication with the recording device during a recording of a speech presentation by the recording device. A recording portion start time is identified that is prior to a time of the input of the capture signal during the current recording of the audio speech presentation in response to recognizing the input of the capture signal word content from the user. The recording device is driven to capture a portion of the recorded audio speech presentation over a period of time spanning from the recording portion start time to the time of the input of the capture signal word content.

  • Publication number: 20180295325
Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to dynamic video image management. A set of dynamic image quality factors may be collected with respect to a dynamic video image. A set of display parameter values may be determined based on the set of dynamic image quality factors. The set of display parameter values may be of a set of display parameter values for a set of computing assets. The set of display parameter values may be determined to benefit the set of dynamic image quality factors with respect to the dynamic video image. The set of computing assets may be configured using the set of display parameter values. The set of computing assets may be configured to benefit the set of dynamic image quality factors with respect to the dynamic video image.

  • Publication number: 20180293621
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an optimization of redeemable offers for a user based on the user's available calendar days. The user selects a target venue via an application on a mobile device and the application retrieves redeemable offers associated with the selected venue including general redeemable offers and redeemable offers that are specific or unique to the user. The application determines a list of calendar days during which the user is available to use redeemable offers and at least one of the redeemable offers is active. An optimized combination of redeemable offers for each calendar day in the list may be presented the user based on the active redeemable offers and user availability. The list of calendar days may also be added to the user's calendar and a single bar code may be generated for applying the redeemable offers.

  • Publication number: 20180285367
Abstract: A first selectable slide presentation priority level assigned to a slide presentation is determined responsive to detecting an indication from a user using an input device to start the slide presentation. Individual slides of the slide presentation determined to include an assigned individual slide priority level equal to or higher than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level are selectively presented. For each presented slide, any additional content-dependent slides with assigned individual slide priority levels lower than the assigned first selectable slide presentation priority level that are determined, according to inter-slide content dependency data, to include a user-assigned inter-slide content dependency upon content of the presented slide are selectively presented.

  • Publication number: 20180278565
Abstract: A method, system, and computer product for expanding diversity of images uploaded to a network site includes identifying a location of a user device, analyzing social media data corresponding to an area within a threshold distance of the location of the user device, identifying at least one location of interest (LOI) of the area based on an analyzed result of the social media data, determining whether there are one or more image gaps corresponding to the at least one LOI based on the analyzed result of the social media data, and suggesting the user device to take one or more images of the at least one LOI, responsive to a determining that there are the one or more image gaps exist for the at least one LOI.

  • Publication number: 20180239521
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system dynamically resizes one or more application windows displayed on one or more screens based on an interactive state associated with the one or more application windows. Initially, a processor displays a plurality of different windows associated with one or more corresponding applications and determines an interactive state associated with each of the plurality of different windows. The processor then analyzes the interactive states of each of the plurality of different windows and, in response, adjusts a size of one or more of the plurality of different windows in accordance with the determined interactive states. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for dynamically resizing one or more application windows based on the interactive states associated with the one or more application windows in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Patent number: 10055871
Abstract: Applying an image overlay to an image is provided. A relationship type and a relationship strength between two or more people identified in a first image is determined based on profile data corresponding to each of the two or more people and a set of data elements determined to be common to the profile data corresponding to each of the two or more people. An image overlay is selected to apply to the first image based on the relationship type and the relationship strength between the two or more people and the set of data elements determined to be common to the profile data corresponding to each of the two or more people. The image overlay is applied to the first image generating a second image that includes the first image and the applied image overlay.

  • Publication number: 20180233043
Abstract: A map-display-based, computer-implemented approach is provided for providing directions to a user to assist the user in reaching a destination. The approach includes, for instance, collecting at a map display user input data, where the user input data includes the user's destination. In addition, the approach includes generating, by a directions generating facility associated with the map display, directions for the user to use in navigating from a current location to the user's destination, and downloading the directions generated by the directions generating facility to a mobile device of the user to assist the user in reaching the desired destination after leaving the map display. The downloading of directions to the user's mobile device may include downloading the directions in at least one of text data format or voice data format.

  • Publication number: 20180220199
Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable representation of missed offers in a prerecorded video comprising a primary content and offer content that has been skipped by a user. More specifically, when the user plays the prerecorded video and initiates an action to skip the offer content, an offer representation tool identifies the subject matter of offers being skipped and generates an alternative representation of the skipped offer including a summary of the subject matter. The offer representation tool then displays the alternative representation of the offer to the user. The displaying the alternative representation can be based on whether a user profile, generated by the offer representation tool and describing preferences of the user, indicates that the skipped offer is potentially of interest to the user.
