  • Patent number: 11378415
Abstract: A method of detecting conditions indicative of energy meter tampering, meter faults or energy loss (e.g. due to energy theft) is disclosed. The method includes receiving energy consumption data from an energy meter indicating consumption of energy at a location served by the energy meter. Event data is also received from the meter comprising one or more events generated by the energy meter. The consumption data is analysed to detect a predetermined consumption condition. The event data is analysed to detect a predetermined event or event pattern in the event data. An alert condition is generated in response to detecting both the consumption condition and the event or event pattern.

  • Patent number: 7434906
Abstract: A method and a device are used to generate print data of any resolutions based on ink volume from the original print data. The print data in the form of halftoned levels are first transferred to the ink image according to the relation between halftone level and drop number obtained by the experiment of ink control. Then, the ink image of original resolution is converted to the ink image of desired resolution by the concept of conservation ink volume per pixel where the amount of ink drops in the unit area stays coherent in the conversion. Finally, each drop number of the converted ink image is transferred to the corresponding halftone level to generate the printing data that can be accepted by the printing device.

  • Patent number: 7358184
Abstract: A method of forming a conductive via plug is disclosed. The conductive via plug is formed by printing a solution comprising a solvent with insulating material dissolve capability and a conductive material by an inkjet method. The formed conductive via plug has a low resistivity and thus may serve as an electrical connection between two separate conductive layers. This manufacturing method of the conductive via plug may achieve simultaneously deposition, patterning and etching purposes, which significantly simplifies the manufacturing process.

  • Patent number: 7296875
Abstract: A cleaning device is mounted on either of the sides of an ink-jet printer. The cleaning device uses the power source of a paper delivering motor to transmit power to the cleaning units so that the cleaning units rotate to perform cleaning and scrubbing operations for an ink-jet print head. When the printer performs printing operations, the paper delivering motor is used to deliver paper without causing an interference with the ink-jet print head during the printing operation. When the ink-jet print head needs to be cleaned, an ink carriage moves to be opposed to the cleaning device under the ink carriage, then, the paper delivering motor supplies power to drive an external transmission device set. The external transmission device set drives the cleaning device on the revolving seat to rotate so as to clean the ink-jet print head of the ink carriage.

  • Patent number: 7125091
Abstract: A method creates printing data applied to a printer that is capable of generating different sizes of ink drops. Firstly, a halftoning threshold table is created based on all possible combinations that are determined based on the quantity of the printheads and the sizes of ink drops quantity provided by each printhead. When the image data to be printed is received, each pixel of an image will correspond to one combination based on the halftoning threshold table. The corresponding combination is deemed as a halftoning encoded data and represented by several bits. These bits can be separated into plural groups, where the bits contained in each group are for driving a specific printhead. That is to say, each printhead has its own driving data so that the printing process will have superior efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20060121199
Abstract: A method of forming micro holes metal membrane by inkjet printing spray micro droplets of a catalyst in the holes after the substrate surface is treated. The catalyst adsorbs and dries on the inner walls of the holes. After that, the surface properties of the substrate are changed so that the coating solution readily enters the holes and forms a membrane on their inner walls. This can avoid incomplete metal coating due to residual air in the holes and forming a disconnected circuit. Moreover, the adhesive force between the inner wall of the holes and the metal improves the situation of coated layer peeling. The method reduces the use of precious catalyst, the fabrication procedure, and the production of photo resist etching waste. Since it does not require expensive equipment and space for exposure, developing, laser drilling, the method lowers the production cost and satisfies the environmental protection requirements.

  • Publication number: 20060110531
Abstract: A method for depositing a high-k dielectric coating onto a substrate, such as a semiconductor wafer, is provided. The substrate is subjected to one or more reaction cycles. For instance, in a typical reaction cycle, the substrate is heated to a certain deposition temperature. Thereafter, in one embodiment, one or more reactive organo-metallic gas precursors are supplied to the reactor vessel. An oxidizing gas is also supplied to the substrate at a certain oxidizing temperature to oxidize and/or densify the layers. As a result, a metal oxide coating is formed that has a thickness equal to at least about one monolayer, and in some instances, two or more monolayers. The dielectric constant of the resulting metal oxide coating is often greater than about 4, and in some instance, is from about 10 to about 80.

  • Publication number: 20050140703
Abstract: Ink jet print head identification circuit and method. A printer includes a controller, a printer carriage installed in the printer, and at least one print head set up in the printer carriage. Each print head is installed in the printer carriage, comprising an identification circuit coupled to the controller through a data line, a clock line and a latch line, wherein the identification circuit comprises a first storing unit, a first logic unit, a second logic unit, a second storing unit, and a bank driving circuit. By installing the first logic unit and the second logic unit, the print head doesn't need to feed back ID information to the controller of a printer, thus decreasing the loading of the controller.
