  • Patent number: 9776785
Abstract: An aerosol dispensing system has a container assembly, an actuator assembly, and a trigger member. The container assembly has a valve assembly. The actuator assembly has an actuator housing defining a rail portion, a trigger member pivotably attached to the actuator housing, and an outlet assembly defining an outlet opening. The outlet assembly is slidably supported relative to the actuator housing by the rail portion. The trigger member engages the outlet assembly such that application of deliberate manual force on the trigger member causes pivoting movement of the trigger member relative to the actuator housing and such that pivoting movement of the trigger member relative to the actuator housing causes linear movement of the outlet assembly relative to the actuator housing. The outlet assembly engages the valve assembly such that linear movement of the outlet assembly alters the valve assembly from a closed configuration to a fully open configuration.

  • Patent number: 9435120
Abstract: An actuator for forming a texture layer on a target surface has a housing, a trigger, and an adapter. The housing supports the trigger for pivoting movement between first and second trigger positions. The housing supports the adapter member for sliding movement between first and second adapter positions. The trigger engages the adapter to displace the adapter from the first adapter position to the second adapter position as the trigger moves from the first trigger position to the second trigger position. The adapter engages a valve assembly such that the valve assembly is in closed and open configurations when the adapter is in the first and second adapter positions.

  • Publication number: 20140263417
Abstract: A dispenser for aerosol material includes an aerosol assembly, an adapter assembly comprising a fixed member and a removable member, and an actuator assembly. When the dispenser is in a first configuration, the fixed member is attached to the rim structure, and the removable member is detachably attached to the fixed member. When the dispenser is in a second configuration, the fixed member is attached to the rim structure, and the actuator assembly is detachably attached to the fixed member. The removable member substantially covers a valve structure of the aerosol assembly when the dispenser is in the first configuration. The actuator assembly engages the valve assembly to allow product to be dispensed from the aerosol assembly when the dispenser is in the second configuration.

  • Publication number: 20140272124
Abstract: A method of forming a restored countertop surface on an existing countertop surface comprises the step of applying discrete portions of a secondary material onto a base coat formed of uncured base material. The base material and the secondary material are formulated such that the secondary material does not mix with the base material and a visual appearance of the secondary material is different from that of the base material. At least one of the base material and the secondary material harden to form the restored countertop surface.
