    Abstract: A dispensing device (1) comprising a reservoir (3) for storing a fabric cleaning fluid (9) having a viscosity of over 10 Pa.s at rest or under an applied stress of up to 10 Pa, one or more dispensing orifices (13) in fluid communication with the reservoir (3), a movable platform movable (11) by means of a screw mechanism (19), whereby rotation of a screw (21) advances the movable platform (11) against the stored, fabric cleaning fluid (9) thereby dispensing a metered dose of the cleaning fluid (9) from the reservoir (3) to be dispensed via the dispensing orifices (13).
