Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for the detection of an analyte, such as coronavirus (e.g. SARS-CoV-2) or other virus particles and proteins, in a test sample. The invention also provides a flow device for use in such methods. Additionally, there is provided a coronavirus-binding reagent having the structure [sialic acid]-[linker]-[polymer]-[gold nanoparticle] for use in the devices and methods of the invention.

Abstract: An enhanced vision system and method for use with vision systems with an imager sensitive to infrared radiation of less than 2-microns in wavelength, to produce a first image signal. Another imager sensitive to infrared radiation at least 3-microns in wavelength may be used to produce a second image signal. Preferably, the first image signal represents sensed electric light sources, and the second image signal represents sensed background such as terrain, runways, structures, and obstacles. A signal processor combines an image signal representing locally maximum values of the first image signal with the second image signal to create a displayed image.

Abstract: To overcome the antipathy some children have to car travel, a headrest 20 for a baby seat 10 comprises a backing element in the form of a human or animal shape (e.g. a clown) having a head 21 and a body 22, the head having projecting head parts (hair, ears, horns, or the like). The body may have limbs extending from it which may be bent around the child. Either or both pairs of limbs may have fasteners (e.g. VELCRO.TM. pads) at 25 to hold them around the child. The headrest may be constructed as a container or bag, closable at 25 by a zipper or by other fasteners such as VELCRO.TM. pads.
