Abstract: A classification system (1) for objects (50) to be transported for a baggage transport system (100), comprising at least one camera module (2) that is configured to capture an object (50) to be transported, wherein the at least one camera module (2) comprises a 3D image sensor (3) that is configured to generate 3D image data (5) and/or wherein the at least one camera module (2) comprises a 2D camera (4) that is configured to generate 2D image data (6). The camera module (2) is configured to transmit the 3D image data (5) and/or the 2D image data (6) to an evaluation module (15). The evaluation module (15) is configured to use an AI model (16) to determine at least one attribute (20) of the object (50). The evaluation module (15) is configured to classify the object (50) by means of a rule-based comparison (17) using the determined at least one attribute (20) and at least one rule specification (18) as to whether it is transportable on the baggage transport system (100).
