    Abstract: A saddle pad is described for placement on a horse or other riding animal's back. The saddle pad can include a pad and an outer cover into which the pad is inserted. The saddle pad is placed directly on the back of the animal and a saddle is placed on top of and over the saddle pad. The pad can be constructed from one, two, or more pieces of material and includes one or more cushioning elements. One of the cushioning elements can be located along a central longitudinal axis of the pad. The cushioning elements of the pad can be constructed from walls, baffles, or bladders, which may be filled with a gas, a liquid, or a gel material to increase stability of the saddle pad and to provide additional cushioning between the saddle and the animal's back as well as between the rider and the saddle.

The retention apparatus features a pouch that can be permanently installed on or removably connected to an interior surface of a garment. The garment is a brassiere, a sports bra, a riding bra, a dress, a corset, a shirt, a t-shirt, a swimsuit top or bottom, a bikini top, or any other suitable garment to which the retention apparatus is attachable. The retention apparatus may feature a pocket flap that can include a fastener for closing the pouch and securing the objects within the pouch.

    Abstract: A protective boot useful for protecting the legs and hoofs of livestock. The protective boot can have a legging member and a shoe member. The legging member can be made of a durable fabric and fastened together around the leg of livestock with a fastening device. The shoe member can be made of a durable fabric or more rigid material with a cushioned bottom portion. The cushioned bottom portion can include a gel pad that is soft, supportive, and durable. The shoe member may be custom-fitted to a particular animal's hoof or to each of the animal's hooves. The cushioned bottom portion can protect the hoof of the animal from impact injuries caused by locomotion across various surface types. The legging member and shoe member of the protective boot may be separated by unfastening the fastener connecting them.
