    Abstract: An electrolysis needle includes a shank having an elongated blade extended therefrom, the blade diameter being between approximately 2 and 10 mils. The blade has a series of barbs formed on it and arranged in axially and circumferentially spaced apart relation. The barbs are inclined outwardly and away from the tip so as to facilitate insertion of the blade into a hair follicle and debriding of the follicle upon removal of the blade.
