  • Patent number: 9496094
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for electrodes, devices including electrodes, methods of making electrodes, and the like. In an embodiment, the electrode includes MoS2, in particular, MoS2 nanostructures (e.g., MoS2 nano-petals). Embodiments of the present disclosure can be used in lithium ion batteries, quantum dot sensitized solar cells, dye sensitized solar cells, thin film photovoltaics, and the like.

Date of Patent: November 15, 2016
Assignee: VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND COMMERCIALIZATION
Inventors: Janet Macdonald, Shane Thomas Finn
  • Publication number: 20150154606
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method includes accessing (1) a first complaint record comprising data generated by a first system of record for an enterprise, and (2) a second complaint record comprising data generated by a second system of record for the enterprise, the second system of record operating independently from the first system of record. The method further includes determining an association between the first complaint record and the second complaint record by identifying common information from the first complaint record and the second complaint record. The method further includes storing, in association with one another, the first complaint record, the second complaint record, and the determined association between with the first complaint record and the second complaint record.

  • Patent number: 7985398
Abstract: The present teachings are directed towards a thermolysis method of producing iron-containing nanoparticles by providing an iron-containing component, a colloid stabilizing component, and an amount of water. The iron-containing component, the colloid stabilizing component, and the amount of water form a mixture, which is then heated to a temperature sufficient to form iron-containing nanoparticles, which are then isolated from the mixture. Another method is also provided which involves a repetitive shell growth method of producing iron-containing nanoparticles by providing a first amount of an iron-containing component and a colloid stabilizing component; the iron-containing component and the colloid stabilizing component are then mixed and heated to a temperature sufficient to form iron-containing nanoparticles.

Assignees: Honda Motor Co., Ltd., The Governors of the University of Alberta
Inventors: Christopher J. Brooks, Jonathan Veinot, Janet MacDonald, Victoria Russell
  • Patent number: 7632332
Abstract: The present teachings are directed towards methods of producing iron and titanium-containing nanoparticles by reducing iron and titanium-containing precursors with alkali or alkaline-earth metal-containing reducing agents in the presence of a suitable surfactant, and by the thermolysis of iron and titanium-containing precursors without alkali or alkaline-earth metal-containing reducing agents present.
