    Abstract: A wallpaper printer is provided for printing wallpaper patterns on print media. The wallpaper printer includes a cabinet assembly. A print media cartridge is mounted, in a releasable manner, within the cabinet assembly and carries a wound length of print media. A platen extends away from the print media cartridge to support print media provided from the print media cartridge. A stationary printhead is mounted within the cabinet assembly to extend transverse to the print media, and is configured to print a wallpaper pattern with the ink and upon print media provided from the platen. A cutter module is configured to transversely cut the printed print media so that the printed print media can be separated from the wound length.

    Abstract: A printhead assembly has an elongate casing. A plurality of printhead modules is mounted serially on the casing. Each printhead module has a fluid channel member defining a number of channels extending along a longitudinal axis of the casing. A printhead tile defines a fluid distribution assembly mounted on the fluid channel member in fluid communication with the channels. The fluid distribution assembly is defined by a laminated structure of the printhead tile. A micro-electromechanical printhead integrated circuit is mounted on the tile to receive fluid from the fluid distribution assembly. The fluid distribution assembly is configured to supply the integrated circuit with at least ink and to adjust fluid flow to compensate for microscopic nozzles of the printhead integrated circuit.

    Abstract: A web printer is disclosed. The web printer includes a print media cartridge carrying a wound length of print media, a platen extending away from the print media cartridge to support print media provided from the print media cartridge along a print media travel path, a stationary printhead mounted within the cabinet configured to print a pattern upon print media provided from the platen. The print media travel path from the print media cartridge to the printhead forms a straight line. Also, the printhead extends at least the width of the print media. Ink reservoirs are also provided for supplying ink to the printhead. A storage stores pattern image data. A data capture device captures an identifier carried by a web sample. The identifier is associated with one of the patterns. When an identifier of a web sample is captured, image data corresponding to the pattern on the web sample is supplied to the printhead for printing.

The slitting mechanism has a rotatable carousel of rotatable slitting shafts which extend across the width of a media web arranged to pass the slitting shafts along a path. The slitting mechanism is selectively movable and the carousel is selectively rotatable to a plurality of cutting positions within the path. In some embodiments the printhead is retained by a rail which is located across the path and along which the printhead slides into and out of a printing position.

    Abstract: A consumer tote for a roll of wallpaper is provided having an exterior which has an access flap, a core access opening and, when the access flap is closed, a gap between the access flap and an adjacent edge of the exterior, an interior for rotatably locating a core in alignment with the core access opening, a coupling attached to the end of the core adjacent the core access opening, and a handle on the exterior. The coupling is arranged to engage a driving spindle through the core access opening that rotates the core for feeding of the wallpaper onto the core via the gap. The handle is formed by two handle portions which fold from respective positions on either side of the gap to a cooperating position in which openings in each handle portion align to form a grip.
