    Abstract: Proposed are a non-aqueous freestanding ion conductive gel for application to an electrolyte of a lithium secondary battery and a preparation method thereof. The non-aqueous freestanding ion conductive gel including: a matrix including a hydrophobic polymer famed through polymerization of monomers having an unsaturated double-bond; a domain dispersed in the matrix and including a hydrophilic ionic liquid; and a surface active layer including an ionic liquid having surface activity, in which a portion of a hydrophobic segment in a chain of the ionic liquid having surface activity is positioned in the matrix, and a portion of a hydrophilic segment in the chain is positioned in the domain. The gel has high ionic conductivity, high lithium ion transference number, and excellent mechanical strength.

    Abstract: A plasma display panel employs a voltage circuit having an input and an output, the voltage circuit configured for supplying a negative voltage for an electrode. The plasma display panel also employs a power supply that has a positive terminal and a negative terminal, where the negative terminal is connected to the input of the voltage circuit. The power supply is otherwise configured relative to the voltage circuit such that the voltage difference between the output and the input of the voltage circuit is fixed as a function of the power supply. By fixing this voltage difference, parasitic capacitance is minimized, power consumption and calorific value are reduced, and the plasma display panel operates in a more stable manner.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an energy recovery apparatus and method for a plasma display panel. The energy recovery apparatus includes a sustain voltage source for supplying a sustain voltage, a panel capacitor formed equivalently at a discharge cell, a first charging circuit for forming a first charging path when one side of the panel capacitor is charged, a second charging circuit for forming a second charging path when the other side of the panel capacitor is charged, a first power circuit for supplying the sustain voltage to the panel capacitor and forming the first charging path, and a second power circuit for supplying a ground voltage generated from a ground voltage source to the panel capacitor and forming the second charging path. The energy recovery apparatus and method according to the present invention can decrease components in number and reduce power consumption and manufacturing cost by charging the other side of the panel capacitor using a charging voltage of one side of the panel capacitor.
