  • Publication number: 20040166245
Abstract: A production method for an aluminum alloy coated steel sheet. The aluminum alloy coated steel sheet is improved in appearance, corrosion resistance and workability resulting from dipping a base steel sheet into an aluminum alloy coating bath with a Si content of 7 to 15 parts by weight, a Cr content of 0.5 to 1.5 parts by weight and a Mg content of 0.46 to 3.0 parts by weight. Because of excellent workability, peeling of a coating layer and cracks of a coating film are reduced upon press working, thereby corrosion resistance being improved even after working. As a result, car mufflers, heat resistant home electric appliances, etc. having improved corrosion resistance can be produced.

Abstract: A production method for an aluminum alloy coated steel sheet. The aluminum alloy coated steel sheet is improved in appearance, corrosion resistance and workability resulting from dipping a base steel sheet into an aluminum alloy coating bath with a Si content of 5 to 15 parts by weight, a Cr content of 0.1 to 1.5 parts by weight and a Mg content of 0.01 to 3.0 parts by weight. Because of excellent workability, peeling of a coating layer and cracks of a coating film are reduced upon press working, thereby corrosion resistance being improved even after working. As a result, car mufflers, heat resistant home electric appliances, etc. having improved corrosion resistance can be produced.

  • Patent number: 6444267
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a gravure transfer-coated continuous metal plate, wound in the form of a coil, comprising: coating, over the metal plate, a primer coating material; curing the primer coating material to form a lower coating layer; thermally transferring a desired pattern from a gravure transfer sheet onto the lower coating layer, thereby forming a transfer coating; coating, over the transfer coating, an upper coating material of thermosetting fluorine resin, thermosetting polyester resin, or UV-thermosetting polyurethane-acryl-based resin; and curing the upper coating material to form an upper coating layer. The primer coating material consists essentially of: 20-40% polyester resin having a number average molecular weight of 5,000-20,000 and a glass transition temperature of 10-50° C., 4-15% melamine resin, 1-10% urethane resin, 0.3-3% isocyanate, 15-35% pigment 30-50% hydrocarbon/ester-based mixed solvent, and 1.5-3% additives.

  • Patent number: 6428672
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique for manufacturing a Ni—Fe alloy thin foil using a single-step electrodeposition-based plating process without requiring processes such as melting, casting, forging, and rolling. A manufacturing apparatus is provided which includes an electrolyzer adapted to receive an electrolyte containing, as a major component thereof, a solution of nickel and iron compounds, a cathode partially dipped in the electrolyte and arranged in such a fashion that it is rotatable, an anode completely dipped in the electrolyte and arranged in such a fashion that it faces the cathode while being spaced apart from the cathode by a desired distance, and a current supply device adapted to generate a flow of current between the cathode and the anode, whereby a Ni—Fe alloy thin film is electrodeposited to a desired thickness over a surface of the cathode facing the anode, and then peeled off from the surface of the cathode, so that a continuous Ni—Fe alloy thin foil is manufactured.
