Abstract: The present solution can provide content based stereo signal processing for an audio system, such as an audio system of a vehicle. An audio system can include one or more processors of a data processing system coupled with memory to identify a stereo signal of an audio system of a vehicle. The one or more processors can determine a factor indicative of correlation between a first portion of the stereo signal and a second portion of the stereo signal. The one or more processors can select, based on the factor, a setting for generating a plurality of audio signals. The audio system can include a decorrelation circuit to generate, based on the stereo signal and according to the setting, the plurality of audio signals for a plurality of speakers in the vehicle.
