The proxy platform processes and/or facilitates a processing of the information about the mobile device and sends the webpage to the mobile device in a format that is based on the information about the mobile device. The mobile device may then operate in a low-power mode when browsing the requested website.

    Abstract: A method to display moving images is described. The method includes shuttering one or more display pixels in a plurality of display pixels. Shuttering blocks substantially all light emanating from the display pixel. The method also includes, while shuttered, refreshing the one or more display pixels and allowing the one or more display pixels to stabilize. Backlights for the shuttered display pixels may be turned off while shuttered. After the one or more display pixels have substantially stabilized, unshuttering the one or more display pixels is included in the method. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.
