Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include methods and compositions directed to targeting of cells that express the long form of Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 2 (BST2) protein, including cancer cells that express the long isoform of BST2. In particular embodiments, monoclonal antibodies or functionally active fragments thereof are utilized to target cells that express the long isoform of BST2. The monoclonal antibodies or functionally active fragments thereof may be utilized by themselves or as part of other entities, such as cells or engineered antigen receptors. The disclosure includes methods of treatment, prevention, and/or diagnosis using the encompassed antibodies or functional fragments thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to one or more polypeptides having useful biological activity in a mammal, which comprise:a polypeptide related to bradykinin of four to ten amino acid residues wherein one or more specific amino acids in the polypeptide chain are replaced with achiral N-benzylglycine. These polypeptide analogues have useful potent agonist or antagonist pharmacological properties depending upon the structure. A preferred polypeptide is (N-benzylglycine.sup.7)-bradykinin.

Abstract: A method and system for the minimization of conflicting activities with respect to an object stored within a data processing system are disclosed. An object within a data processing system may be the subject of multiple activities by users of that system. A temporary record of all current activities with respect to an object is stored within a state mask which has been established in association with that object. Thereafter, prior to permitting a proposed activity, the state mask is utilized to automatically determine if the proposed activity represents a conflict with an existing activity.
