  • Patent number: 11780495
Abstract: Wheel suspension has a steering knuckle support with two hole openings opposed to one another in an axial direction and form openings of a mounting hole, two axle pins spaced apart axially, extend in axial direction and engage in the mounting hole through the hole openings, and a chassis component supported at axial end portions of the axle pins to be swivelable relative to the steering knuckle. A first contact area at the hole openings has a conical inner circumferential surface. The conical inner circumferential surfaces of the first contact areas narrow in diameter toward one another in axial direction. The axle pins have a second contact area with a conical outer circumferential surface that narrow in diameter toward one another in axial direction and contact the conical inner circumferential surfaces of the first contact areas.

  • Patent number: 11168733
Abstract: A ball joint, particularly for a chassis of a motor vehicle having a housing with a first opening surrounded by a circumferential forming edge. The housing has at an end opposite the first opening, a closing force absorber for absorbing a closing force F required for a deformation of the circumferential forming edge, which closing force absorber extends in a trough-shaped manner toward the housing interior in direction of the first opening. A method for fitting a ball joint, having a counter-holder of a closing device surroundingly received by the closing force absorber during a closing of the housing.

  • Patent number: 10875373
Abstract: An axial ball joint for a length-adjustable two-point link having a housing and a ball stud supported in the housing by a joint ball to be rotatably and swivelably movable and which extends in an axial direction out of the housing in undeflected state. The housing has a connection pin integrally connected to the housing that extends perpendicular to axial direction. A length-adjustable two-point link has two angle joints connected to one another via a connection element, particularly a connection pipe. One angle joint is formed as an axial ball joint connected to the connection element to be adjustable in length. The other angle joint is formed as a radial ball joint and is rigidly connected to the connection element.

  • Publication number: 20180245623
Abstract: A protective cap for covering some areas of a fully assembled ball joint. The protective cap has an enclosing wall designed to enclose an area of the ball joint to be covered. The protective cap protects the ball joint, in some areas, against heat damage with at least one additional wall (3, 21) spaced a distance away from the enclosing wall (2, 22). In addition, a ball joint (30) has a sealing bellows (31) which is protected by the double-walled area (4, 27) of the protective cap (1, 20) against the damaging effects of heat. Also a two-point linkage (40), in particular for a utility vehicle, which includes a connecting tube (41) that is connected at least at one end section (42) to a ball joint (30).

  • Publication number: 20180245624
Abstract: A protective cap (1, 30) for covering some areas of a fully assembled ball joint (50). The protective cap (1, 30) can be screwed, by virtue of a multi-turn, all-round internal thread (11), onto a threaded section (53) of a ball stud (51) of the ball joint (50). Furthermore, a ball joint (50) with a ball stud (51) having a protective cap (1, 30) screwed onto a threaded section (53) of the ball stud (51). Also a two-point linkage (80) with at least one ball joint (81, 82) having a ball stud (51) with a protective cap. The linkage is in the form of a steering rod (80), a track rod, a stabilizer tie-rod, an operating link or a Panhard rod.
