Abstract: Methods of treating a tumor in a subject are provided herein. In exemplary embodiments, the method comprises measuring the expression level of MGMT, GPRASP1, CHGA, MAPK8, ATP6V0A2, or FGF7, or any combination thereof, in a sample comprising a cell or cells from the tumor, and administering to the subject an alkylating chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination comprising alkylating chemotherapy and radiation therapy, depending on the expression level(s). Related methods, kits, systems, computer-readable storage media, and methods implemented by a processor in a computer are further provided herein.

Abstract: The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating or ameliorating the effects of a cancer in a subject, e.g., glioblastoma (GBM) in a subject that is resistant to temozolomide (TMZ), methods for delaying the emergence of TMZ resistance and/or increasing the TMZ sensitivity in a subject, and methods for reducing tumor aggressiveness in a subject. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and kits to implement such methods.
