  • Patent number: 11920769
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to tiltable luminaire joints. One example tiltable joint for a luminaire includes a first joint portion that includes a joint member provided with an outer cylindrical surface section having an axis and opposing bearings aligned with said axis. The outer cylindrical surface section being provided with a first plurality of interengaging surfaces. The tiltable joint also includes a second joint portion that includes a joint housing provided with a pair of axially-aligned receiving surfaces, and an inner cylindrical surface provided with a second plurality of interengaging surfaces configured to interengage the first plurality of interengaging surface. The joint member of the first joint portion is configured for being housed within the joint housing of the second joint portion. Further, the tiltable joint includes first and second shaft portions that extend in alignment with the pair of axially-aligned bearings. Additionally, the tiltable joint includes a fixation means.

  • Publication number: 20060060350
Abstract: The method for the prevention, reduction and/or removal of asphaltene-paraffin-vax precipitates on surfaces in contact with crude oil within oil-wells from bottom hole to well head, in flow lines and pipelines by the use of biocolloid suspensions comprises the steps of: adding together (a) microorganism(s) capable of reacting with, solubilizing of and/or resistant to the components of crude oil, (b) organic or inorganic additives, or (c) a mixture thereof into the pipes; and allowing the so formed suspension containing the microorganisms to act for a desired time. The suspension is used for the decomposition, washing-off and removal of solid hydrocarbons and mixtures of long chain hydrocarbons, as well as for the prevention of formation thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060060527
Abstract: The method for preventing the formation of oil-win-water and/or water-in-oil emulsions and/or for breaking up emulsions already formed, comprises the steps of: (a) adding tensides, materials for increasing viscosity, industrial surfactants, and microorganisms capable of breaking down crude oil components or derivatives and producing at least one type of tenside, to the emulsion already formed or into the device containing the crude oil in which the formation of the emulsion to be prevented, optionally together with additives required for the reproduction of said microorganisms; (b) providing an appropriate temperature for the microorganisms after the addition of the materials listed above; (c) allowing the microorganisms to reproduce and act for a predetermined period of time; (d) checking the results of the treatment; and (e) optionally repeating steps (a) to (d) at least once more, preferably at least three more times.

  • Publication number: 20050000903
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for land improvement (soil reclamation), preferably for soil remediation comprising the steps of (i) placing a material useful for improving soil, and an explosive in the soil, and (ii) mixing the materials useful for reclaiming the soil and the polluted soil by explosion. The invention also relates to methods methods for providing microorganisms useful for decomposing hydrophobic pollutants, mineral oil components and derivatives by selection and isolation from soil, the microorganisms, their uses and kits for land improvement and soil remediation. The invention is useful in particular for remediation of soil polluted with oil components and derivatives.

  • Patent number: 4641607
Abstract: A multistage evaporation boiling equipment is disclosed in the form of a single unit, each stage operating at a different pressure. Two or more bundle type heat exchanger units are horizontally positioned along a central column, part of which units protrude from the column. Attached to the protruding part of each unit is a flange which is covered by a sealing tube wall. A cover over a passageway communicating with this sealing tube wall provides a second seal. One or more walls inside the column separate the heat exchanger units. Openings, which may hold a choke means, are found in the separating wall to control passage of vapor.

  • Patent number: 4450608
Abstract: An apparatus for producing tempered plate spare parts, planar shaped products, shear platus, blades cut from band material, and particularly ampule files, comprises a band hobbing and feeding unit, in certain cases a mechanical forming unit, particularly a serrating and/or sharpening unit, a heating and cooling unit and a cutting mechanism. The apparatus is equipped with a cutting-cooling mechanism arranged on a cross slide that can alternately be displaced crosswise to the transfer trace of the band material and it is provided with pairs of cutting tools arranged in two parallel or approximately parallel--expediently flat--clamp plates that can be pressed to one another.
