  • Patent number: 7951404
Abstract: A storage-stable aqueous concentrate for the preparation of a disinfectant and a disinfectant obtainable from such a concentrate by dilution are disclosed. The concentrate comprises hydrogen peroxide, colloidal silver, a biopolymeric stabilizer such as gum arabic, and phosphoric acid. In order to improve long-term stability and to reduce initial decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide in the first few days after preparing the concentrate, the concentrate further comprises sodium nitrate or sodium sulfate. The concentrate is free of any synthetic organic complexing agents, thus rendering the concentrate suitable for food- and drinking water applications. Also disclosed are methods of preparing and using the concentrate.

  • Patent number: 4915955
Abstract: A concentrate with an unlimited shelf-life, which can be mixed with hydrogen peroxide at a ratio of 1:99 to 1:199 to become an effective disinfectant, is obtained when a viscous solution of inorganic acid, with a pH less than or equal to 1.6, is mixed with a silver salt compound or a colloidal silver compound at 50.degree. to 60.degree. C. The mixture is further combined at room temperature with other inorganic acid(s) to reach a total of 100 g inorganic acid(s) per liter of water; at room temperature, an organic acid stabilizer is added and the mixture is homogenized. The concentrate, during storage, remains homogeneous and crystal-clear.

  • Patent number: 4213403
Abstract: The incineration plant is provided with at least one static mixer which is disposed in the combustion gas duct leading from the furnace to a gas purifier. The static mixer is constructed in various forms, each of which includes a plurality of guide elements for dividing the gas flow into a plurality of sub-flows and for passing the sub-flows through the mixer in a criss-crossing relation. The static mixer effects a homogeneous temperature distribution in the gas as well as a homogeneous concentration distribution of any dust in the gas prior to passage of the gas to the gas purifier.
