  • Patent number: 9807932
Abstract: A set of sensor inputs are received in an agricultural machine. The sensor inputs are indicative of sensed or measured variables. A probabilistic control system probabilistically infers values for another set of variables and generates a set of control signals based on the probabilistically inferred values.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 2, 2015
Date of Patent: November 7, 2017
    Assignee: Deere & Company
Inventors: William D. French, Jr., Aaron J. Bruns, Janos Kis

  • Patent number: 8332438
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and systems are provided for monitoring a technical object during, for example, a handover and/or takeover of the technical object. In one embodiment, a business partner may receive an XML file for a technical object. The business partner may generate a new structure, to represent the technical object, based on the XML file. The business partner may retrieve a corresponding structure from a backend component. The business partner may preprocess the new structure by performing a consistency check. The consistency check may include comparing the new structure to the corresponding structure. The business partner may store the new structure in a backend component after the preprocessing is complete.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6475081
Abstract: An agricultural combine having a supporting structure that is driven by ground engaging wheels at a harvesting speed by a propulsion assembly. The combine is also provided with a threshing assembly that is driven by a variable torque sensing drive. The variable torque sensing drive is manipulated by pressurized hydraulic fluid. A hydraulic sensor in hydraulic communication with the variable torque sensing drive provides an actual hydraulic pressure signal that is directed to an electronic controller. An operator control in the operator's cab of the combine provides a loss rate signal that is also directed to the electronic controller. The electronic controller converts the loss rate signal into a desired hydraulic pressure signal. The electronic controller regulates the forward speed (harvesting speed) of the combine so that the desired hydraulic pressure signal is equal to the actual pressure signal.

  • Patent number: 6098682
Abstract: A tire pressure control system and method includes a pneumatic control unit, a pressure sensor, a rotary seal associated the tire and a wheel valve rotating with the tire. The system is connected to a compressed air source and the control unit is connected through a connecting line and the rotary seal with the wheel valve. The position of the wheel valve is a function of the pressure in the connecting line. To inflate and vent a tire and to reduce the number of components, the wheel valve has a closed position, an open position wherein a connection is established between the control unit and the tire, and a venting position that opens to the atmosphere. The wheel valve is maintained in its open position as long as an inflation pressure exists in the connecting line. The wheel valve moves into its venting position as long as the pressure in the connecting line that exceeds the inflation pressure by at least a pre-determined value.

  • Patent number: 5075473
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of aluminum oxide carboxylate polymers containing at most 2% by weight of ester by reacting an aluminum alkoxide of the general formula Al(OR).sub.3, wherein R stands for a C.sub.2-5 alkyl group, dissolved in an aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon with a solution of a C.sub.8-22 aliphatic or alicyclic monocarboxylic acid or carboxylic acid mixture and water in a C.sub.2-5 alkanol and removing the alkanol(s).The process according to the invention comprises introducing the solution of the aluminum alkoxide to a tube reactor having a 10 to 200 length/diameter ratio at a temperature exceeding by 15.degree.to 50.degree.C.
