  • Publication number: 20230058264
Abstract: The present invention relates to fluorescence reporter plasmid systems for enabling a Bacillus strain to fluoresce, and to methods for visualizing the state of Bacillus strains.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 15, 2021
    Publication date: February 23, 2023
    Applicant: Novozymes BioAg A/S
Inventors: Jared Heffron, John William Rice
  • Publication number: 20190300845
Abstract: We found that bacterial spores could be pretreated or initially treated with a partial complement of germinants (i.e., less germinants than would cause germination) and, subsequently, could be treated with the remaining germinants to cause germination of the spores. In some instances, the pre-treated spores germinated more efficiently than bacterial spores to which the full complement of germinants was simultaneously added to the spores.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 20, 2017
    Publication date: October 3, 2019
    Applicant: NOVOZYMES BIOAG A/S
    Inventor: Jared Heffron
  • Publication number: 20190241864
Abstract: Composition comprising bacterial spore and its non-germinant (preferably amino acid, more preferably valine or aspargine) which alone in water does not cause germination of said spore, but accelerate its germination in combination with known germinants of said spore.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 23, 2017
    Publication date: August 8, 2019
    Applicant: NOVOZYMES BIOAG A/S
    Inventor: Jared Heffron
  • Publication number: 20190002819
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for heat treating spores, which improves subsequent germination properties.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 27, 2016
    Publication date: January 3, 2019
    Applicant: NOVOZYMES BIOAG A/S
