    Abstract: A helmet assembly having a front half and a back half hingedly and lockably connected together. Each half of the helmet includes a bladder filled with a fluid. Each bladder has a neck portion which engages the front half and the back half of the user's neck respectively. When the two halves of the helmet are fitted about the user's head, the bladders cushion the wearer's head, minimize air presence within the helmet, and seal out water (or gas) about the user's neck.
