  • Patent number: 11381940
Abstract: A modified computer program for a mobile device, tethered for use with a specific server, including tethering data (metadata tethered to the specific server; features or functions tethered to the specific server). Servers can provide databases, remote processing or storage, virtual machines, or specialized hardware or software that performs specific functions. A method for developers to submit mobile apps for review and tethering by agents, who examine descriptions of, and possibly try out, those mobile apps. Agents can determine whether to modify a mobile app to tether (or re-tether) it, and if so, can provide tethering data. The system either recognize elements in the untethered mobile app that can be modified, and modify them to tether it; or, the system provides software hooks for execution from within the mobile app. The system automatically submits the tethered mobile app to an app store. Tethered mobile apps are modified to both end-user login and login to the tethered server at once.

  • Publication number: 20150349315
Abstract: A battery terminal connector and process of manufacture. The battery terminal includes a connector body formed of an alloy comprising up to about 8.8 percent aluminum, up to 0.06 about percent magnesium, up to about 0.075 percent iron, up to about 0.006 percent lead, up to about 0.006 percent cadmium, up to 0.003 percent tin, up to 1.3 percent copper, the balance being zinc, all of said percentages being by weight of the composition. The connector is gravity molded or pressure cast, resulting in a battery terminal connector having high strength and electrical conductivity and good corrosion resistance.

  • Publication number: 20080010631
Abstract: According to methods, apparatuses, and computer program products described by way of non-limiting examples presented herein, a computer system operates as an intelligent node in a distributed network. In one or more embodiments, the installation and execution of a node operating computer program product (“node software”) on a computer system configures that computer system to operate as an intelligent node in a distributed network. The computer system may reside at the edge of the network and thus may include a number of physical world sensors and/or actuators that represent valuable but hard-to-reach data sources/sinks from the perspective of the network at large. The node software operates the computer system as an edge application server and enterprise service bus, intelligently processing data from sensors, actuators, and other edge systems and devices. Other applications, such as server-based data processing and storing, are also easily implemented via the node software.
