The cranial orthotic includes an exterior shell, with or without an accompanying bladder providing additional cushion to the wound environment. The cranial orthotic is adapted to sense pressures and biometrics associated with the wound environment and as well as heat or cool portions of the wound environment. A communications module accompanies the smart cranial orthotic.
