Abstract: An imaging apparatus comprises a first detector configured to capture a two-dimensional image; a second detector configured to perform single-line imaging and spatially displaced with respect to the first detector; an objective common to the first detector and the second detector being located at the same optical distance from the first detector and the second detector; a directing arrangement configured to direct optical radiation from the common objective to the first detector and the second detector simultaneously or in turns; and a focus device common to the first detector and the second detector being configured to perform a focusing operation for finding a focusing state, where the two-dimensional image captured by the first detector is in focus, and the second detector being configured to capture a single-line image on the basis of the optical radiation directed thereto with said focusing state.
