Abstract: A wireless communication system includes at each cell at least one network part of the system communicating with subscriber terminals in its area. Within the system, a method for transmitting reception information on a receiving end to a transmitter includes measuring the quality of a signal received from a terminal, such as the bit error ratio (BER) of the signal, and transmitting the measured quality information to the terminal to be indicated to the user of the terminal, or transmitting an announcement selected on the basis of the quality information to the terminal via the network part to be indicated to the user.
