  • Publication number: 20150380978
Abstract: The invention relates to decreasing power consumption of wireless charging devices in standby condition. A method for decreasing power consumption comprises feeding at least one detecting signal as a pulse to a wireless charging coil (120) of a power transmitter (100) comprising a charging area, wherein the detecting signal corresponds with an expected resonance frequency of the wireless charging coil (120) measuring a reflected signal caused by feeding the detecting signal, determining whether the reflected signal satisfies a non-resonance condition and activating a power transmitting circuit in response to determining that the reflected signal satisfies the non-resonance condition. The invention further relates to an apparatus and a computer program product.

  • Patent number: 8135157
Abstract: A headset (1) comprises a body (3) and a boom (4), on which a microphone is located. The boom (4) is mounted so that the position of a microphone (5) relative to the body (3) can be adjusted. The headset 1 further comprises a controller (15) arranged to process an electrical signal generated by the microphone (5) by equalizing components corresponding to high and low audio frequencies in accordance with the detected position of the microphone (5). For instance, low frequencies may be preferentially attenuated if the microphone (5) is used when the boom (4) is in a retracted position. Optionally, the controller (15) may also adjust the gain of the microphone (5) in accordance with the position of the microphone (5). The headset (1) may be used to communicate with an external device (2) using a wired or wireless connection. For example, the headset (1) may convey signals to and from a mobile telephone using the Bluetooth® protocol and/or may be used for Push-to-Talk applications.

  • Patent number: 7158481
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for predicting a fill-up level of a buffer in an ATM network element, wherein for a respective one of at least one ongoing transmission connection (T1, . . . Ti, . . . Tn) via said ATM network element (ATM_NWE), cells (C1, . . . , Ci, . . . , Cn) are input to said buffer (BUF) with a respective input cell rate, and said ATM network element outputs said cells at a predetermined output cell rate; comprising the steps of: measuring a momentary fill-up level of said buffer after each respective time interval (A), determining a slope of the fill-up level of said buffer for the immediately preceding time interval, and estimating the fill-up level of said buffer to be reached after the subsequent time interval based on said slope of the fill-up level for the immediately preceding time interval.

  • Patent number: 6625266
Abstract: It is a problem with telecommunication equipment, such as a telephone exchange, that the counters produce so much information that the processes, such as statistic, traffic management and charging, do not have the time to process them. The system according to the invention includes two main blocks: the first main block is formed by one or more report request service blocks (21) and the second main block (22) is formed by one or more counter service blocks, each of which monitors one or more counters (c1, . . . , cn). The report request service block relays a start-up message (23) to those counter service blocks (e.g. 24) from which it needs counter information. The conditions on which the counter information is desired are stated in the message. The condition may be exceeding/falling short of a given threshold value or the condition may be a timetable, e.g. a time slot, in accordance with which the counter value is to be stated.
