  • Publication number: 20160235246
Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid heating device (10) for a hot beverage machine, comprising: —a flow through heater (18, 18?); —a first tank (12) for receiving liquid (24) to be heated; —a second tank (14) for temporarily storing pre-heated liquid (24?); —a liquid outlet (22) for releasing heated liquid; and —a switching unit (20, 20?, 20?, 20??) which is configured to switch a liquid —the flow cycle of the liquid heating device (10) between a pre-heating cycle, in which liquid (24) flows from the first tank (12) through the flow through heater (18, 18?) and into the second tank (14) in order to temporarily store pre-heated liquid (24?) in the second tank (14), and a end-heating cycle, in which the pre-heated liquid (24?) flows from the second tank (14) through the flow through heater (18, 18?) to the liquid outlet (22).

  • Publication number: 20160113436
Abstract: A device (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for frothing a liquid (15) is presented, in particular for providing two or more streams of froth in parallel. The device comprises: a steam generator (10) for generating a stream of steam (13), a steam splitter (30) for splitting the stream of steam (13) into a first sub-stream of steam (33A) and a second sub-stream of steam (33B), wherein the first sub-stream of steam (33A) is provided at a first steam outlet (32A) and the second sub-stream of steam (33B) is provided at a second steam outlet (32B), a first frothing unit (11A) having a first liquid inlet (14A) and a first steam inlet (16A), a second frothing unit (11B) having a second liquid inlet (14B) and a second steam inlet (16B), wherein the first steam outlet (32A) of the steam splitter (30) is connected to the first steam inlet (16A) of the first frothing unit (11A) and the second steam outlet (32B) of the steam splitter (30) is connected to the second steam inlet (16B) of the second frothing unit (11B).

  • Patent number: 7662198
Abstract: A separation assembly for separating dirt and dust from air in a vacuum cleaner, through which assembly an air flow path extends from an inlet to an outlet. The air flow path extends through an upstream separator and a downstream separator. The downstream separator includes an air-permeable filter element bounding an inner space. The wall sections bounding the air flow path in the area of the downstream separator include at least a transparent section through which the filter element is visible. The inner space is located upstream of an area outside the filter element for filtering air flowing from inside the filter element to outside the filter element.

  • Publication number: 20080134462
Abstract: The invention relates to a separation assembly for separating dirt and dust from air in a vacuum cleaner (1), through which assembly an air flow path extends from an inlet (5) to an outlet (6). The air flow path extends through an upstream separator (18) and a downstream separator (19). The downstream separator (19) includes an air-permeable filter element (28) bounding an inner space (27). The wall sections bounding the air flow path in the area of the downstream separator include at least a transparent section (30) through which the filter element (28) is visible. The inner space (27) is located upstream of an area (31) outside the filter element (28) for filtering air flowing from inside the filter element (28) to outside the filter element (28).
