Abstract: A filter for filtering liquids, especially fuel, which includes a concentric housing, an unfiltered liquid inlet, and filtered fluid outlet, and a backflow member. A concentric filter element, with a dirt collecting chamber in the lowermost part thereof, is disposed in the housing, which is closed with a cover. The housing also contains a riser pipe having a return bore hole in the uppermost part thereof, as well as a return pipe. An intermediate pipe, which is sealingly closed by the cover, is disposed above the riser pipe, and the filter element is removably attached to the intermediate pipe.

Abstract: A heat exchanger (10) connectable with at least one connecting element (11). The heat exchanger is made up of a stacked structure and has holding devices (17) embodied as part of a heat exchanger housing. The holding devices can be produced by deforming an end plate (18) of the heat exchanger or they may be soldered on the end plate (18) in the form of profiled strips (24). The connecting element has corresponding locating elements (19), and assembly is carried out by deforming the holding devices (17) or by configuring the holding devices in the form of a bayonet lock. The integration of the holding devices (17) into the end plate (18) of the heat exchanger has the advantage of reducing manufacturing costs and simplifying assembly.

Abstract: A filter assembly for a liquid to be filtered, especially for use in a conditioning unit for the lubricating oil of a motor vehicle, including a filter cartridge (8) concentrically arranged around a center tube (9) through which a liquid stream may flow. The filter assembly includes a bypass valve (11) through which unfiltered liquid can flow into the center tube (9) if the filter cartridge becomes clogged. The bypass valve (11) is durably affixed by a valve plate (21) so that a valve body (16) is urged against the valve plate (21) by a valve spring (19) supported by supports (20) extending axially in the center tube (9).

Abstract: A heat exchanger, especially an oil cooler for internal combustion engines. The heat exchanger consists of a plurality of mutally parallel tubes to convey the heat exchanging medium and blade-like heat exchange elements arranged perpendicularly to the tubes. The heat exchange elements are firmly secured to the tubes and also bent at the outer edges and are super imposed in the manner of scales. The medium to be cooled is fed via pipes arranged perpendicularly to the heat exchanging elements. The pipes open into a distributor plate having a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. The inlet and/or outlet for the coolant is also fitted in the diameter of the distributor plate.

Abstract: A heat exchanger, in particular an oil cooler for internal combustion engines, composed of several parallel tubes (19) for the heat exchange medium and of lamellar, plate-like heat exchange elements (10) arranged perpendicular to the tubes and fixed thereto. The heat exchange elements (10) are bent at their outer edges (11) and are nested on top of each other. An adapter element (13) is provided for supplying the medium to be cooled. The adapter element (13) has liquid inlet (15), a liquid outlet (18) and a mounting member (14) for the heat exchanger.

Abstract: A valve, particularly a pressure relief valve for the lubricating oil filter of an internal combustion engine, which includes a valve plate 11, a valve body 10 cooperating with the valve plate, a valve spring 14 and a valve hood 15, the valve spring 14 being supported on the valve hood 15 and exerting a force on the valve plate to seal the opening between the valve plate and the valve body. A cylindrical guide 24 is provided at the upper end of the valve hood, and the valve plate 11 contains a blind bore 25 which receives the cylindrical guide in order to guide the valve plate.

Abstract: A liquid filter for cleaning the lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine which comprises a vertically upstanding filter housing 10 closed at the top by a removable cover 12. In this filter housing there is a filter insert 18 which is removable for maintenance and separates a dirty liquid chamber 41 from a filtrate chamber 42 in the filter housing. When the cover 12 is opened and the filter insert 18 is removed, the liquid drains out through a drain passagway 17. This drain passageway 17 is provided with a shut-off device 25 which shuts off the drain passageway 17 when the filter insert 18 is installed, and which opens this drain passageway 17 when the filter insert 18 is loosened. The shut-off device 25 is a compact unit which can be mounted and inspected outside the filter housing 10, and can be used for filter housings of various sizes.
