Abstract: A novel frit glass composition is disclosed which is particularly useful to apply color coatings to the soda-lime glass envelopes of incandescent lamps. Specifically, the present glass frit can be combined with various inorganic coloring pigments to produce a colored coating when fired on the surface of the lamp glass envelope.
