  • Patent number: 9008648
Abstract: According to an apparatus, method and computer program product an interference pattern transmitted by a communication terminal based on a cellular communication network related configuration of the communication terminal is determined, wherein the determined interference pattern includes information on a transmission schedule of the communication terminal. Further, a wire connection based broadcast distribution of the determined interference pattern is initiated. Then, an interference pattern observed on a radio interface is compared with an interference pattern broadcast on wire connection, based on a transmission schedule of the interference pattern broadcast on wire connection. Finally, an originator of an interference pattern broadcast on wire connection is marked as a neighbor in case a match is determined between the interference pattern broadcast on wire connection of this originator and an interference pattern observed on a radio interface.

  • Patent number: 8995267
Abstract: The present invention refers to handling of an overload in a communications network and to handling of handovers occurring after the handling of handovers in the communications net work, wherein said communications network is based upon a tree topology providing several levels of nodes in said communications network. According to the present invention, in formation about an overload is provided through several levels of nodes in communications network, starting from the node, with regard to which said overload has occurred, and ending with nodes being located in levels arranged upside the level, in which the overload occurred, and being connected directly or indirectly with the node, with regard to which said overload has occurred. When handling a handover from a cell in a node, which is affected by the overload, the handover will be allowed only if the cell comprises at least one node, which is also affected by the overload.

  • Patent number: 8811887
Abstract: It is described a method for changing the data load distribution within a telecommunication network including a first base station, a second base station and a relay node being connected to the first base station and/or to the second base station. The described method includes (a) establishing for each of a plurality of user equipments a first indirect connection to the first base station via the relay node, (b) establishing in a collective manner for each of the plurality of user equipments a second indirect connection to the second base station via the relay node, and (c) terminating in a collective manner for each of the plurality of user equipments the first indirect connection. It is further described a network element, which is adapted to carry out the above described data load redistribution method, and a computer program, which is adapted for controlling the above described data load redistribution method.

  • Patent number: 8493996
Abstract: In one exemplary aspect of this invention a method includes receiving at a user equipment from a wide area network access node information identifying at least one predetermined radio frequency carrier; initiating, in response to a presence of an interferer on a radio frequency carrier that is being used for a current connection between the user equipment and the network access node, a connection re-establishment procedure, where the interferer has the potential to cause a radio link failure of the current connection on the radio frequency carrier; and transmitting a connection re-establishment request to the network access node on the predetermined radio frequency carrier. The interferer can be a closed subscriber group network access node that the user equipment is not authorized to gain access to.

  • Publication number: 20130109395
Abstract: There are provided measures for proximity reporting procedures in radio access, for example in heterogeneous network environments, said measures exemplarily including sending, to a serving base station representing a source of mobility of a user equipment, a first proximity indication indicating proximity to a microcell base station representing a target of mobility of said user equipment, said first proximity indication including a carrier according to a preceding access of said user equipment to the microcell base station, and, when detecting the microcell base station on said carrier according to the preceding access fails, sending, to the serving base station, a second proximity indication indicating proximity to the microcell base station, said second proximity indication including a carrier being different from said carrier according to the preceding access. Said measures may exemplarily be applied for mobility procedures in LTE, LTE-Advanced, HSPA and/or UMTS radio access systems.

  • Publication number: 20130109396
Abstract: A method and a device for data processing in a wireless network are provided, said wireless network including a home base station that is at least partially deployed within a coverage area of at least one macro base station, wherein the home base station obtains an identity information of at least one macro base station; wherein the home base station determines a deterioration of a connection to a mobile terminal that is served by this home base station; and wherein the home base station conveys a context information of the mobile terminal to one macro base station identified by the identity information. Furthermore, a communication system is suggested including said device.
